Key Features

Yamaha PW-X2

For model year 2020, the Japanese brand introduces the new Yamaha PW-X2 eMTB motor, aiming to set a new performance benchmark.

The updated PW-X2 has the same specifications as the current Yamaha PW-X: 250W nominal power, 80Nm torque in “Extra Power” mode and 70Nm torque in High/STD/Eco/+Eco mode.

High Output

Truly powerful as Yamaha sees it means ability to deliver the power the rider wants quickly and dependably. Get the power you need, when you need it.
In addition to "steady high power at high cadence", the PW-X2 features the exclusive Extra Power Mode (EXPW).
With EXPW mode, the unit better harnesses the motor's power thanks to the drastically improved cooling effects. It not only improves assist torque in all ranges; compared with conventional models, it also better maintains assistance up to high rpm. In addition, it offers robust support to riders recovering from tight turns or climbing challenging steep slopes.
When you find yourself facing a real challenge, just turn on the Extra Power!

Yamaha 500Wh

The Yamaha 500 provides reliable and long-lasting energy storage without memory effect and with minimal self-discharge. Charge time with the Yamaha Standard Charger supplied is approx 4 hours for 100% charge.

Yamaha Multi Switch

A large liquid crystal display designed for a wide range of uses, from city to trail riding. It features a simplified and easily operable large display, with speed and battery capacity functions. High importance has been placed on visibility while riding in severe environmental conditions. Support mode can be changed at the press of a button as you ride.

The Xduro Nduro, 180 mm travel, plus tyres and aggressive geometry, the Xduro Nduro can help you climb the most demanding trails, flow singletrack and still shred the downhills with confidence.

Incorporating the new Yamaha PW-X2 motor which  enhances the ride experience of all its drive systems with a new Quad Sensor System and Automatic Support Mode technologies.

The updated Yamaha PW-X2 offers ‘the next step’ in powerful support, based on the same technical data but with a 50% higher power delivery than its predecessor.

Four sensors inside the motor housing, coupled with finely tuned algorithms for the drive control, result in higher sensibility to the rider’s input. The Quad Sensor System uses an angle sensor to detect the bike’s angle of climb or descent, as well as ride speed, crank rotation and pedaling torque sensors.
